Dennis George, Chief Executive Officer
Dennis comes to APS after serving as CEO of Coffey Health System in Burlington, Kan. for 20 years. A graduate of Washburn University with an MBA in Health Services Administration from Webster University, Dennis also served as a Medicare auditor, a physician practice administrator and a healthcare CFO at three different organizations. Dennis served on the APS board of directors from 2000 to 2009 including two terms as chairman in 2006 and 2007. Linda Bailey, Executive Assistant - Business Support
Linda is a native of Missouri and is a graduate of the Kansas City Business College. She worked for eight years for a large retirement facility, as well as a laboratory equipment manufacturing company. She began working for the Kansas City Area Hospital Association in 1985 as Administrative Assistant, transferring to APS in 1992. Kathi Branyon, Vice-President Client Services
Kathi holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Ottawa University – Ottawa, Kansas. She came to APS with 18 years of experience in materials management, serving as Director of Materials Management at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas. Kathi is responsible for client services for APS members in the Kansas City area. Email Kathi.
Jan O’Brien, Vice-President Workforce Solutions
Jan is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and is a graduate of the Arizona State University School of Nursing and Regent University Law School in Virginia. Prior to coming to APS, Jan worked for Healthcare Services Group as a clinical risk management consultant, providing risk assessments, education and consultation for healthcare facilities in Missouri and Kansas. Bruce Frerking, Senior Director Client Services
Bruce holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and Human Resources from Mid-America Nazarene University, in Olathe, Kansas. Bruce came to APS with over 20 years of Central Supply and Materials Management experience. Most recently he served as the Purchasing Manager for Olathe Medical Center. Bruce is responsible for client services for facilities in the Southern Kansas and Missouri areas. Email Bruce.
Lisa Love, Senior Director Client Services
Lisa comes to APS from Denver, Colorado, where she earned her certification as a Respiratory Therapist. After five years of hospital experience, she completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado. She applied her Respiratory Therapy background, as well as her Mechanical Engineering background, by directing a team in the research and development of respiratory medical and aircraft products at Puritan Bennett in Kansas City. Traci Parsons, Director Regional Services
Traci has extensive experience in administering contracts in the healthcare industry. She worked at Children’s Hospital Association (formerly CHCA, NACHRI and N.A.C.H.) for 14 years. During her time with CHA, she held multiple roles in contracting and operations, her most recent role as Contract Manager for more than five years. Over her career, Traci has developed a diverse skill set in administering multi-million dollar GPO contracts. This includes experience in data analysis, legal and regulatory compliance, contract launches, audit projects and customer service initiatives. Traci’s professional affiliations include Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM), National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the National Notary Association (NNA). She holds a Master Certificate in Government Contract and Master Certificate in Commercial Contract Management from Villanova University. Email Traci.
Linda Wiedner, Member Support
Linda is a lifelong Kansas City area resident and received her Associates Degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College. Prior to joining APS, Linda worked for a safety consulting company as Administrative Assistant/Office Manager while providing customer support to clients using their compliance software. Linda is responsible for assisting all APS team members and is the customer support contact for members. She also provides oversight and daily operations of the APS Emergency Preparedness Management System. Email Linda.
