2. Establish a
System of Support Staff
APS staff assists
Participants and vendors in the introduction and evaluation of the
merits of regional purchasing agreements. Once an agreement has
been implemented, APS will provide staff resources to assist in
identifying and pursuing product standardization opportunities.
3. Access to Increased
Exposure and Advertising
Vendors have
special opportunities to participate in certain APS, Kansas Hospital
Association, and Missouri Hospital Association events. Furthermore,
vendors have preferred access to key decision makers within the
APS Participant consortium.
What is the
process of becoming an APS Contract Vendor?
1. Complete a
Vendor Application and submit
it to APS for review.
2. Staff will submit your company name and information for consideration
at the appropriate regional departmental committee meeting. This committee
will direct staff to:
a. Ask vendor
for a proposal;
b. To decline the vendor solicitation; or
c. Bid the contract category.
All information
will be collected through APS staff. However, the committee(s) will
make all decisions associated with an agreement.
3. Once a decision
has been made by the committee, APS staff will notify you of the decision
made. APS staff will then advise on how to proceed.
